A part of life apart from life:
I am a warrior-watcher awaiting.
If my destiny goes unfulfilled, the world will be a better place - since I was born to lead in the endgame.
Like the Maytag repairman, should I grow old, discarded and idle, it will signify that all of creation yet avoided a meltdown - a very good thing, indeed!
Can I remain still until my moment for action?

Who can wait quietly while the mud settles?
Who can remain still until the moment of action?
Observers of the Tao do not seek fulfillment.
Not seeking fulfillment, they are not swayed by desire for change.

Stillness and quiet go together, eh? Stillness, no motion, no anticipation, remaining without waiting, is easy. It's the quiet I have yet to achieve.

Nightime over takes me, as daylight falls behind...
You will never grow old and idle.. you continue to be vital and important.
At least in my life as well as many others here.
And even if you never have to fulfill your destiny, you will still be that vital part of each of us that hold you dear.
You will not remain still, but moving in and out of each day, recovering those things which may have been lost if it were not for you being there, keeping things together and held in a suspenseful moment...for the rest of us to appreciate.
In you tomorrow will arrive and the sun will shine... and warm not only your face, but warm the hearts of all those that love you.
