yeah, it's a crap no-win situation. it's not like you really care in a personal way what sneaky tricks xanga might be up to (again). but it does make me really sad to see bianca's guestbook and all the starry-eyed newcomers talking about names and being teachers. i sort of thought they learnt that way was not a good one, but obviously not, obviously enough of us stuck around even through the disgruntledness at being sucked in by their marketing trick for them to think it worthwhile. the funny thing is they're so sloppy - they've updated the dates of the posts but not of the comments and props they've left there.......soon we can expect a second wave of "Would the real bianca please stand up" realizations....*sigh*.....and the xanga world spins on....

You know, I was sucked in by Bianca, as well... however, I appeared to come a tad bit late (26 Jan). That was because her e-mail did not have a SNMP time stamp on it, and it was sent to the bottom of my inbox. If I never decided to clean and organise my inbox, I may have never have found out about Xangagrad. I don't visit the A.I. (artificial intellegence- she may be a robot!) known as Bianca or her legion of clones, but discussions of her/him/it do always amuse me. Cheers.

I received an email from Biance as well. The first thing that struck me as fishy was the fact that she said she's been to a particular website I created on angelfire (which shoots down your geocities theories) and that she liked my writing style... the trouble with that is the website she referred to contains maybe one paragraph of original writing and a link to a page of Garth Brooks song lyrics. The second thing that struck me as strange was her website, she's actually got her gender listed as "male"?? Anyway, I knew it was a marketing ploy but I'm glad to be here, it was my decision to sign up and I only did so after looking around carefully at what xanga was all about.
