  • Xanga itself is the "Featured Content" in the retrial of a football player accused of raping a college student in her dorm.  Her Xanga has been introduced as evidence for the defense.

  • Featured Content factoid #1: The default Featured Comment page is Premium only. You need to go to that page and click Classic Featured Content to view the non-Premium (separate and unequal) list.

Featured Content factoid #2: 64% (32) of current Premium features mention  an "I" -"my"-"we" variant in their title line.   66% of current Classic features rate the same.

Featured Content factoid #3: VeryModern has appeared in and at the top of more Featured Contents than any other xangan.

  • Expect to see a lot of THIS in upcoming Kerry commercials:

                ~opening splash graphic~:

Fade into Kerry, quote from 3rd debate: "Six months after he said Osama bin Laden must be caught dead or alive, this president was asked, 'Where's Osama bin Laden?' He said, 'I don't know. I don't really think about him very much. I'm not that concerned.' .... "

Switch to Bush, 3rd debate, seemingly surprised by Kerry's attack. "Gosh, I don't think I ever said I'm not worried about Osama bin Laden. That's kind of one of those ex-ag-gerations (spoken drawled and exaggeratingly with a repressed chuckle). Of course we're worried about Osama bin Laden."

Overlay with a quote from Bush, 2002, said in West Virginia, "We are not too worried about him (Osama)."

And then another, also in 2002, with Bush at the White House, " ..... I don't know where he (Osama) is. I truly am not that concerned about him."

    ~etc.~

    My Predictions:

    1) If Osama is caught before the election, Bush wins. Likelihood: unlikely.

    2) If there's a big Al Qaeda terrorist strike in the U.S. before the election without us having the ability to strike back at the perpetrating base of attack (Osama), Bush loses. Likelihood: unlikely.

    3) Likely: something unlikely will happen.
