I've tried to spider this site for archival purposes with the notion of placing it illegally (hell yes! come and git me suckas) on my own domain--should Xanga disappear | go *poof*--for all our retrieval purposes. But with all the members and all the graphics, it's just too large, too long in doing, besides: always changing! You are one clever, observant dude. I noticed what you *noticed* about me--and it freaked me out. But only momentarily. Of course, I seek balance. My Jungian intellectual upbringing revealed the combined world or animus and anima, puer aeternus and puella aeterna, and I've been tainted ever since. Just think of it this way: the sample you encountered was possibly random (with regards to gender as a criteria), but small. In any small (n=less than 30) sample, statistical trends with regards to any specific variable may be unreliable. So your observation of a *female subscription* trend may be thus wanton. But perhaps not. The girls of Xanga *do* seem so special, so gifted, so amazing, so incredibly *female*--so what can I say? *returning to psychotherapy in the morning*. Thanks, Gavin.

not familiar with the term "spider" but i'm assuming (not a good thing to do, i know, but anyway) that it basically means the same as snaking.
from what i understand, snaking an asp site isn't possible. if you view the source code, all you see is html, and not the asp code... if anyone knows the trick to fully snaking an asp site, let me know. i'm most interested.
